Lily stages the interaction of opposites, of hot and cold, which happens mostly at the end of the menu, the dessert. With it’s spear like foot, “Lily” sits on the base of the dessert. The hot component is poured into the blossom – slowly “Lily” opens every single leaf, the liquid pours out, flows down and mixes with the base.
Lily is produced flat in two single parts. The parts are 3D printed in thermoplastic resin. Thermoplasts deform by heat – something necessary for the printing process. This reaction is turned into Lily’s leading functional principle.
